Cutie Collections, Family Fun, and College Adventures!

Welcome back!!

I took off a few days earlier in the week to spend time with my mother-in-law who came to visit from Florida. The short time she was here was filled with many adventures.  I always love when the family gets together! Carter really enjoyed seeing his G-Ma, Uncle Brett and Aunt Jennifer all together for a couple of days.  Her last trip was not too long ago in May for Carter's 2nd birthday, but he has learned so much in a few months.  I cannot wait for us all to be together again.  We are just as close with all of them as we are with my family and we miss G-Ma already!

This was the first week we didn't have my cousin Susanna with us at the QB (Quilt Basket).  She started her first year at Notre Dame, and although we are so excited for her, we miss having her here with us.  I cannot wait to see all the great things she will accomplish over the next few years- she continues to amaze us.  Susanna is extremely talented and we are very proud of her.

I am making a list of projects to send to her to work on to help us out when she isn't busy with her studies!  As we always say, everyone in this family somehow ends up having a job with the QB.  I received a picture of her dorm and the quilt my mom made for her bed is gorgeous!  Susanna loves having a special quilt on her bed- I wonder how long it will take for her friends to start requesting one of their own.

Carter had the privilege to FaceTime with Susanna for the first time the other night.  Let's just say it was interesting watching a 2 year old walk around trying to show her all of his toys and tell her about all of his adventures.  I think Susanna felt a little dizzy by the time the conversation was over.  But, they both had a great time, and I am sure he will get better holding the phone steady after a few practices.

Last week I released my brand new Cutie Collections Pattern!!  I decided to make a baby quilt since we hadn't had one that size yet.  It came out exactly as I had envisioned.  BoBo is the title of this newest pattern after my mom's childhood dog.  This is available on our website as well as our other Cutie patterns. We currently have 27!
