116 Days Until Christmas - Bite Your Tongue!

WHAT??? WHAT is this madness? The weather is finally enjoyable and NOW you want to talk about the holidays?! Our legs are no longer glaringly white and the topic is about snow, hustle and bustle?

Ok, Ok, we realize it seems crazy HOWEVER we have been receiving holiday fabrics for weeks already. We also have gotten a jump on gift ideas. Our very popular Holiday Gift Workshops are back again and we are really excited about the gifts.

We are offering a Casserole Cover, a Holiday Pillow, and a Kindle Cover.

The classes will be FREE with the purchase of a kit ($29). Each kit is $29 for the 1st kit, additional kits are only $19 since you only need one pattern.

Classes will be from 10-1 on 11/3 pillow, 11/10 Kindle Cover, 11/17 Casserole Cover

Goodnight Irene

Due to Irene's visit we will be closed 8/28. We will be open 8/30 with regular business hours. Please be careful and stay dry.

Here is a joke to help you laugh during the storm:

Top Ten Reasons Hurricane Irene is Like Christmas
10. Decorating the house (boarding up windows).
9. Dragging out boxes that haven't been used since last season (camping gear, flashlights).
8. Last minute shopping in crowded stores.
7. Regular TV shows pre-empted for "specials".
6. Family coming to stay with you.
5. Family and friends from out-of-state calling.
4. Buying food you don't normally buy ... and in large quantities.
3. Days off from work.
2. Candles.

1 And the number one reason Hurricane Irene is like Christmas...

At some point you know you're going to have a tree in your house!

Just when you thought the weddings were over...

They pulled you back in! Congratulations to Corey and Michelle! Cathy and Allan's son is getting hitched, that is all 3 kids married in 2 years! Whew that is a lot of quilting.

Aric and Jennifer got the stunning Wedding Quilt done in blues (Jennifers favorite - smart mother-in-law),

Sarah and Craig got a new design - Sarah's Wedding Quilt, which was published in Fabric Trends

and now it's Corey and Michelle's turn. Cathy has raised the bar pretty high, the ladies here are hard at work brainstorming ideas for them.

If you have any ideas or if you want to post Wedding Quilts that you created - we'd love to see them.

Trying Something New

Since Cathy is only busy 23 out of 24 hours a day she was concerned about how to fill her down time. Last week she decided to try something new - making clothes. She started with a pattern from Favorite Things, their Hope Skirts. Cathy made the longer one.

Skirt with her matching shirt
She made the skirt, but bought the shirt

Cathy is extremely proud of herself and her new found skill. She firmly believes that if she was able to make this - ANYONE can.
