Hello from Pawling!
First of all, I would like to wish everyone and very Happy
and Healthy New Year!! May your fabric
stashes grow and some of your projects be finished in 2015! Our family was very
excited to hear my nephew Jeffrey Nicholas was born at 7:35AM January 1, 2015!
He was the first baby born in the hospital for the New Year and is getting a
lot of attention. He is a happy, healthy
baby boy and everyone is doing well.
What a great way to start the New Year! January is a very busy Birthday
month for our family. Jeffrey January 1st,
Susanna January 5th, Cathy January 7th, my Uncle Howard January
14th and my birthday is today, January 2nd!
With so many busy and long days in the last couple of weeks,
Carter is ready for a calm and quiet weekend at home with daddy! I am sure he
will be taking long naps the next couple of days and hopefully enjoying some
time outside if the weather permits.
We are getting ready for the new classes we have scheduled
through April of this year. This morning
we had our children’s pillowcase class. This
was my cousin Susanna’s first class she has taught for the QB and it was very
successful! Happy Children with finished pillowcases and a little knowledge of
quilting left here today. We look
forward to having another class for kids soon, maybe on their next break from
school.
I have been busy working on my Block of the Month class I
have scheduled to start in a couple of weeks.
This modern paper piecing pattern by Violet Craft using the Michael Miller Brambleberry Ridge line is stunning as it all comes together. Here is a sneak peak of one of my finished
blocks from this Forest Abstractions Quilt.
We do still have space in the class if anyone is interested
in signing up. The Forest Abstractions pattern and/or quilt kit are also available on our website.
As always we are all working on different Cutie Patterns
using the newest lines of fabric we receive.
The patterns are currently being written and we hope to have these new
one up on our website soon for you. Please
see below for the newest additions to the Cutie Collections.
We hope to have our Cutie Gallery up on our new and improved
website in the next few weeks. You will
then be able to view all of our completed Cutie Quilts as well as the ones
completed by our customers using different lines. We cannot wait to share them all with you!!
My final project of the week was a Valentine’s Day table
runner. I know it’s hard to fathom that
February is right around the corner, but it is!
I used the Seaside pattern by Little Jaybird Quilts using the Sidekick Ruler and our new Moda Kiss Kiss Line that arrived last week. These
fabrics, pattern and ruler are all available on our website
Our newest line of fabric, just received today is Tonga Zen by Timeless Treasures. Please be sure to view these on our site.
