Children At Play

This week I focused on my niece Nora again.  We created this adorable pajama set using the Michael Miller Fabrics by Sara Jane called Children at Play.  I cannot wait to see Nora to give her the dress from 2 weeks ago and this pajama set.  The Nighty Nites Pattern and Children at Play fabrics are available on our website.

Vintage Compass

Although we are busy preparing for our move, we are also getting ready for our September classes.  We have begun work on our Vintage Compass by Quiltworx sample.  This is the Quiltworx quilt.  Check back here next week to see our sample.

New Fabrics

 We have started to receive all new fabrics and are excited to share them with you! We are getting in new fabrics for all different seasons and occasions.

This is the new line from the designer Lonni Rossi through Andover Fabrics. These modern Batiks are rich in color and unique in design with dots, swirls and lettering. Lonni’s Boutique is available on our website.

Moda’s newest line by the designer Laundry Basket Snowbird has arrived as well. These beautiful blues and creams will add warmth to any bedroom in those cold winter months! The Snowbird fabrics are all available on our website. 

      

Believe it or not I’m starting to think about house decorations for Halloween and other seasons.  I’m also starting to think of seasonal items I could make that Carter may enjoy.

We just received these fun and scary Halloween fabrics.  The ghosts actually glow in the dark which I think will be perfect for Carter’s first Trick or Treat bag!!

Quick and easy panel projects are a favorite of mine for decorations for any occasion.  This Timeless Treasure Panel and coordinating fabrics for the fall season and Thanksgiving was a must have for my collection! We're Moving

The last few weeks have been very busy between the party and Quilt Market.  Now that new fabrics are starting to arrive we are even busier making new projects to share.

Carter’s first birthday party went exactly as I had hoped!! All of the handmade decorations looked great and the cake was fabulous! I think we are all happy the test cakes are completed but I have to admit the final version was perfect.  Carter of course loved his smash cake and needed a bath after. In my book a messy and happy birthday boy indicates this was a huge success. I guess I’d better start planning next year’s party to make sure it is just as much fun!

This week after receiving the new Michael Miller Fabrics by Sara Jane, I was inspired to make something special for my niece Nora.  Nora lives a few hours away and since I don’t get to see her that often, I love to send her presents!

I used these Michael Miller Fabrics and the Picture Perfect Dresses Pattern by Ellie Mae Designs to make this adorable outfit.
